North Coast Wine Region
The North Coast Region is north of San Francisco Bay. It’s home to more than half of the state’s wineries.
Northern California has a climate and terrain that reminds many people of the rural areas of France making it perfect for wine production. Most of the wine region includes Napa Valley, Mendocino, Lake County, Solano, Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Bennett Valley and Russian River Valley in Sonoma County and Marin Counties.
